Consecrated and Chosen: Honoring Your Body as a Temple for His Divine Purpose

Are you tired of feeling like "common property"? Does it feel like the world is constantly tugging at your identity, your time, and your body, demanding that you fit into a mold that was never meant for a Daughter of the King?

Will it be easy to stand out? No!
Will it be worth it? Absolutely.

Listen to me, sis. You were not created to blend in. You were not created to be a carbon copy of the culture around you. You are a masterpiece, hand-crafted by the Creator of the Universe for a specific, divine, and glorious purpose. But here is the hard truth: you cannot walk in the fullness of His power while you are still playing by the world's rules. It is time to talk about consecration.

Fact #1: You Are Not Your Own Property

We live in a world that screams, "My body, my choice!" but the Word of God tells a very different story. When you accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, a transaction took place in the spirit realm. You were moved from the kingdom of darkness into the Kingdom of Light. You were bought.

“Do you not know that your bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit, who is in you, whom you have received from God? You are not your own; you were bought with a price. Therefore honor God with your bodies.”
, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20 (NIV)

Spiritual Truth: Your body is not a rental or a public park; it is the Holy of Holies. The same Spirit that raised Christ from the dead lives inside of you. Every time you dishonor your body, whether through what you consume, who you let touch you, or how you speak about yourself, you are essentially bringing "common" things into a sacred space.

Truth vs. Lie

The Lie: Consecration is about being "perfect" or following a long list of legalistic rules to make God happy.

The Truth: Consecration is an act of love and stewardship. It is saying, "Lord, because You saved me, I am setting myself apart for Your exclusive use." It is about intimacy, not performance.

I remember a time in my own life when I felt completely drained. I was saying "yes" to everyone and "no" to God. I was treating my body like a trash can: no rest, poor fuel, and a mind filled with the "noise" of social media. I felt far from my Calling. It wasn't until I sat down with my Prayer Journal and truly repented that I realized I was trying to run a Kingdom mission on a worldly fuel tank. I had to consecrate my schedule, my eyes, and my habits before I could see the Vision clearly again.

The Deliverance Before the Dedication (Exodus 14-15)

In Exodus 14 and 15, we see one of the most powerful displays of God’s hand. The Israelites were trapped: mountains on either side, the Red Sea in front, and Pharaoh’s army closing in from behind.

God didn’t just save them so they could go back to living like Egyptians in a different location. He saved them so they could be His holy people. After they walked through the sea on dry land, they didn't just walk away; they sang!

“The LORD is my strength and my defense; he has become my salvation. He is my God, and I will praise him, my father’s God, and I will exalt him.”
: Exodus 15:2 (NIV)

Spiritual Truth: God delivers you from your past so He can consecrate you for your future. The Red Sea was the boundary line. Once they crossed it, they were set apart. They were no longer slaves; they were a Royal Priesthood.

Fact #2: Consecration is Your Protective Shield

The enemy hates a consecrated woman. Why? Because a woman who knows she belongs to God is untouchable. When you set yourself apart: when you protect your "temple": you are essentially putting up a "No Trespassing" sign in the spirit.

Whether you are a young lady navigating the pressures of school, a mother raising the next generation of leaders, or an older woman stewarding years of wisdom, your consecration is your strength. You are worthy. You are special. You are chosen.

How to Battle: Practical Consecration

Consecration isn't just a feeling; it’s a lifestyle. If you want to see God move in your life like never before, you have to create space for Him to move.

  1. Audit Your Temple Entrances: What are you letting into your mind through your eyes and ears? If a song, show, or social media account leaves you feeling anxious or "fleshy," it’s time to hit unfollow.
  2. Track Your Time Stewardship: Use a 75-Day Holy Girl Tracker to see where your energy is going. Are you giving God your first fruits or your leftovers?
  3. Speak Life Over Your Physical Vessel: Stop criticizing the temple God chose to live in. Use Faith-Based Affirmation Cards to align your words with His Truth.
  4. Physical Rest as Worship: Sometimes the most "spiritual" thing you can do is go to bed on time. Honoring your body as a temple means respecting its need for Sabbath and renewal.

Your North Star: The Divine Purpose

Listen to me, winner: there is a "God-sized" hole in this world that only your specific, consecrated life can fill. When you choose to be "set apart," you aren't missing out on the world; you are gaining the Kingdom.

You are a key part of the plan. Don't let the enemy trick you into thinking your body is just a "thing" to be decorated or used. It is an instrument of righteousness. It is the vessel for your anointing.

Are you ready to cross your Red Sea? Are you ready to leave the "common" life behind and embrace the holy calling He has for you?

What to Do Today:
Grab your journal, find a quiet corner, and ask the Holy Spirit: "Lord, what area of my life am I still holding back from You?" Write it down. Repent. And then, step into your identity as a Consecrated Daughter of the King.

I am standing with you, praying for you, and believing in the massive vision God has placed inside of you. You’ve got this, sis!

With love and grace,

Charlet Billings
