Day 27 of 30 , Week 4: Stepping Into Purpose
Will it always feel easy to walk boldly in your God-given identity? No! Will the enemy try to make you question your worth, authority, and calling? Absolutely!
But does uncertainty get the final word over your life? Never!
You are not who rejection said you are. You are not who failure labeled you to be. You are not the sum of your past, your mistakes, your bank account, your relationship status, or other people’s opinions.
You are a daughter of the King.
You are chosen, redeemed, equipped, and deeply loved by God. And when you know who you are in Christ, you can stop shrinking in places where God has called you to stand.
That is what it means to walk in spiritual authority, not becoming controlling, proud, or harsh, but standing confidently under the authority of Jesus and faithfully stewarding the assignment He has placed in your hands.
Identity Before Authority
Before you can walk in authority, you must become anchored in identity.
A seed cannot produce fruit if it forgets what it is. A tree cannot stand through the storm if its roots remain shallow. And you cannot confidently step into your calling if your identity is still being negotiated by culture, comparison, or criticism.
The world says, “Prove yourself.”
God says, “Receive what I have already spoken over you.”
“But to all who did receive him, who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God.”
, John 1:12
You do not have to earn your place in God’s family. Through Christ, you have been adopted. You belong.
That belonging is the foundation beneath your purpose, your leadership, your motherhood, your business, your ministry, and your everyday obedience.
Spiritual Truth: You do not work for an identity. You work from the identity God has already given you.
I have had moments when I opened my faith journal with a full list of goals but a heart full of doubt. I wanted to move forward, but I was still asking, “Who am I to do this?”
That question can keep a woman circling the same mountain for years.
The enemy loves an identity crisis because confused women hesitate. They second-guess. They over-explain. They abandon God-given assignments before the first seed has time to take root.
But you, masterpiece, are not disqualified because you feel nervous. Courage is not the absence of fear. Courage is choosing to agree with God more than you agree with fear.
Fact #1: Your Authority Comes From Christ
Spiritual authority is not self-generated confidence. It is delegated authority.
Jesus said:
“All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.”
, Matthew 28:18
Notice where authority begins: with Him.
You are not walking in your own strength, reputation, or perfection. You are walking under the covering and lordship of Jesus. Your authority comes from your relationship with Him.
That means you can pray with confidence. You can resist temptation. You can confront lies with Scripture. You can make obedient decisions. You can set wise boundaries. You can speak life over your home. You can refuse to partner with fear.
“The one who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world.”
, 1 John 4:4
The enemy may be loud, but he is not greater.
Your circumstances may be intimidating, but they are not your God.
Your past may have shaped you, but it does not have permission to define you.
Fact #2: Authority Requires Submission
Here is the hard truth: You cannot walk in godly authority while resisting God’s authority.
True spiritual authority flows from surrender.
“Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
, James 4:7
The order matters.
First, submit to God. Then resist the enemy.
This is not about performing spiritual warfare with dramatic words while ignoring obedience in ordinary places. Authority is revealed through a surrendered life.
It looks like telling the truth when dishonesty would be easier.
It looks like forgiving without returning to unhealthy access.
It looks like stewarding your money, time, body, and relationships with wisdom.
It looks like saying yes when God says move, and saying no when He says wait.
You are not called to dominate people. You are called to serve, lead, protect, build, and love like Jesus.
“Whoever wants to become great among you must be your servant.”
, Matthew 20:26
The world’s authority says, “Make people notice you.”
Kingdom authority says, “Make Jesus visible through you.”

Truth vs. Lie
The Lie: “I need everyone’s approval before I can move forward.”
The Truth: Obedience does not require unanimous applause.
Some people will not understand your calling because God did not give it to them. Some will only recognize your authority after they see the fruit. Some may criticize the seed because they cannot yet see the harvest.
Keep obeying.
You are not responsible for convincing everyone. You are responsible for stewarding what God placed in your hands.
The Lie: “I am too ordinary to be used by God.”
The Truth: God has always used ordinary people who were willing to trust Him.
Moses had excuses. Gideon felt small. Esther had risk. Peter had a history of failure. Yet God called them, strengthened them, and worked through their surrendered yes.
Your limitations do not intimidate God.
Your weakness is not a surprise to Him.
“My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”
, 2 Corinthians 12:9
Grace is not permission to remain passive. Grace is power to become who God called you to be.
How to Battle the Identity Attacks
When the enemy attacks your identity, do not argue from emotion alone. Go back to the Word.
Use this simple battle plan:
-
Name the lie.
Write down exactly what you are believing: “I am behind,” “I am not qualified,” “I will always fail,” or “God cannot use me.” -
Find the truth.
Replace the lie with Scripture. You are God’s child according to John 1:12. You are His workmanship according to Ephesians 2:10. You have power, love, and a sound mind according to 2 Timothy 1:7. -
Speak the truth aloud.
Your mouth must come into agreement with Heaven. Say, “I am not led by fear. I am led by the Holy Spirit. I belong to God, and I will obey Him one step at a time.” -
Take one obedient action.
Send the email. Start the project. Have the conversation. Make the appointment. Open the Bible. Set the boundary. Authority becomes visible through action. -
Record God’s faithfulness.
Use a prayer journal to document answered prayers, divine provision, wisdom received, and victories over fear. Your testimony becomes an anchor when the next battle begins.
Christian Journal Prompts for Walking in Authority
Set aside ten quiet minutes today. Bring your Bible, your favorite pen, and a willing heart. Then work through these Christian journal prompts:
- What labels have I accepted that God never placed on me?
- Which Scripture most clearly reminds me of my identity in Christ?
- Where have I been waiting for human approval instead of obeying God?
- What fear is the enemy using to make me shrink from my calling?
- What area of my life needs stronger spiritual boundaries?
- How can I exercise authority through humble service this week?
- What God-given vision have I delayed because I felt unqualified?
- What is one obedient step I can take within the next 24 hours?
- Where have I seen God’s faithfulness in a previous season?
- Complete this declaration: “Because I belong to Christ, I am…”
Do not rush these prompts. Let them become a conversation with God.

A Prayer for Confidence and Spiritual Authority
Father God,
Thank You for making me Your daughter through Jesus Christ. Forgive me for the times I have allowed fear, rejection, comparison, or past failure to define me.
Remind me of who I am in You.
Teach me to walk in authority with humility, wisdom, courage, and love. Help me submit every area of my life to You so I can resist the enemy and stand firmly in Your truth.
Strengthen my faith. Renew my mind. Guard my heart. Give me discernment to recognize the enemy’s lies and boldness to answer them with Your Word.
Show me how to steward my calling. Give me the courage to take the next step, even when I cannot see the whole road. Let my life reflect the character of Jesus, not pride, control, or performance, but servant-hearted strength.
I declare that I am not ruled by fear. I am not forgotten. I am not disqualified. I am Your beloved child, equipped for every good work You have prepared for me.
In the name of Jesus, amen.
You Are the Key Part of the Plan
Sister, you are not waiting for permission to become valuable. You are not waiting for a perfect season to begin obeying. You are not waiting for a different personality, a larger platform, or a flawless past.
You are already loved.
You are already seen.
You are already being formed for purpose.
Walk like a woman who knows her roots are in Christ. Let your faith be an anchor. Let Scripture be your north star. Let prayer be your daily weapon. Let obedience be the path beneath your feet.
The enemy may question your identity, but Heaven has already spoken.
You are a winner: not because life is always easy, but because Christ has already won.
You are a masterpiece.
You are a daughter of the King.
And you are a key part of God’s plan.
Keep your heart rooted, your hands open, and your eyes fixed on Jesus.
With love,
Charlet
