Are you tired yet? I mean really tired?
It’s only the beginning of March, and if you’re anything like me, the "to-do" list for Easter is already starting to weigh on your spirit. Between the church commitments, the family gatherings, the spring cleaning, and just trying to keep your head above water in your daily motherhood journey, the "joy" of the resurrection can sometimes feel like just another item on a crowded calendar.
Will it be easy to find peace in the chaos? No! Will the enemy try to use your exhaustion to distract you from the Empty Tomb? Absolutely.
But here is the beautiful truth: Easter isn't for the woman who has it all together. It’s for the woman who is weary. It’s for the one who feels like she’s carrying a cross she didn't ask for. It’s for you. As we prepare our hearts for this season at Charlet's Stationery, I want to walk with you through the exhaustion and show you how to find a supernatural strength that only comes through the Sacrifice.
Fact #1: Your Exhaustion is a Signal, Not a Failure
We often treat our tiredness as a sin. We think if we just had more faith, more coffee, or more "aesthetic" growth and gratitude routines, we wouldn't feel so drained.
That is a lie from the pit of hell.
Exhaustion is often the physical manifestation of a spiritual "north star" pointing us back to our need for a Savior. When we reach the end of ourselves, we finally reach the beginning of God’s power. The enemy wants you to believe that your burnout means you’re failing at your calling. I’m here to tell you that your burnout is simply the soil where God wants to plant something new.
"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls." , Matthew 11:28-29
Spiritual Truth: Rest isn’t a reward for finishing your work; it’s a requirement for doing His work.
Fact #2: There is Beauty in the Struggle
We talk a lot about the victory of Easter Sunday, but we cannot get to the Resurrection without the agony of Friday. Jesus was exhausted. He was overwhelmed to the point of sweating blood in the garden. He knows what it feels like to have the weight of the world, literally, on His shoulders.
When you are struggling to balance your time management with your spiritual life, remember that the struggle itself is a form of stewardship. You are stewarding a life that was bought with a price! Finding beauty in the struggle means acknowledging that the "messy middle" is where the most growth happens. Like a seed buried in the dark, cold earth, you might feel "buried" right now, but God sees you as "planted."
Truth vs. Lie: The Performance Trap
- The Lie: I have to create a "perfect" Easter experience for my family to be a good Christian woman.
- The Truth: Jesus didn't die so you could have a perfect brunch; He died so you could have a perfect Advocate.
Stop trying to perform for a God who already loves you at your lowest. Your worth is not tied to how many Bible verses you’ve memorized this week or how many faith-based articles you’ve read. Your worth is tied to the blood shed on Calvary. Period.
How to Battle the Burnout This Season
If you feel like you’re running on fumes, we need to get practical. Spiritual warfare requires a strategy. You are a masterpiece and a key part of the Plan, but even the best soldiers need to sharpen their swords.
- Audit Your "Yes." Every time you say "yes" to a social obligation that drains you, you are saying "no" to the quiet time your soul needs. Use your planner to physically block out "Sabbath space." If it isn't scheduled, the enemy will fill it with noise.
- Color-Code Your Conversation with God. Sometimes, we’re too tired to even know what to pray. This is why I’m obsessed with scripture marking. It takes the pressure off "performing" a prayer and lets you soak in the Word. Our Bible Highlighting Guide is a great place to start if you want to make your study time feel less like a chore and more like a creative release.
- Label Your Fears. Write them down. When fears stay in our heads, they grow into giants. When we put them on paper in our stationery accessories, they become manageable tasks for God to handle.
Fact #3: Sacrifice is the Root of Real Strength
We often think of "strength" as muscle, grit, and white-knuckling our way through the week. But Kingdom strength is different. Kingdom strength looks like surrender.
The sacrifice of Jesus was the ultimate act of surrender to the Father’s will. When we sacrifice our pride, our need for control, and our "perfect" images, we tap into a reservoir of strength that never runs dry.
When you look at your Bible, decorated with Bible tabs, don't see it as a textbook you’re failing to study. See it as a map to your freedom. Every tab is a reminder that God has provided a word for every single struggle you are facing.
The "Becoming Her" Perspective
At Charlet's Stationery, we talk a lot about Becoming Her: the woman God envisioned when He created you. That woman isn't a robot. She isn't a woman who never tires. She is a woman who knows where to take her weariness.
She is anchored. Her roots go deep into the grace of the Resurrection. When the winds of life blow: when the kids are screaming, the bills are due, and the Easter eggs aren't even bought yet: she doesn't tip over because her "North Star" is fixed on the sacrifice of Christ.
"But those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." : Isaiah 40:31
Spiritual Truth: Renewal doesn't come from a vacation; it comes from a Vision.
What to Do When Sunday Feels Too Far Away
If you are reading this on a Monday and Sunday feels like a lifetime of exhaustion away, I want you to do one thing: Give yourself grace.
Grace is the "grease" that keeps the gears of a faithful life moving. If you didn't get to your devotions today, grace. If you snapped at your husband because you're overwhelmed, repent and grace. If you feel like you're barely holding on, grace.
Jesus didn't just die for your big sins; He died for your hard Tuesdays. He died for your "I can't do this anymore" moments.
Final Hard Truth: You Cannot Pour from an Empty Cup
You are trying to be everything to everyone, but you are neglecting the stewardship of your own soul. You are a winner, but even winners need to retreat to the locker room to heal. This Easter, I challenge you to make your "sacrifice" something different. Instead of sacrificing your sleep or your sanity to create a "perfect" holiday, sacrifice your ego. Admit you need help. Admit you are tired.
Go to Charlet's Stationery and find the tools that help you connect with Him in a way that feels like a hug, not a homework assignment. Whether it's a new journal to track how you'll achieve your dreams with God or just some stickers to brighten your planner, use these tools as anchors for your soul.
You Are Seen, Sis
I see you. I see the dark circles under your eyes that no amount of concealer can hide. I see the heart that wants to honor God but just feels… empty.
But I also see a woman who is loved by the King of Kings. I see a woman whose strength is being forged in the fire of this season. I see a woman who is about to experience the power of the Resurrection in a way she never has before: not because she did everything right, but because she finally let Him take the lead.
This Easter, don't just look at the cross. Look past it to the empty tomb and realize that if He can conquer death, He can certainly help you conquer your Monday.
Stay visionary. Stay inspired. And most importantly, stay in His grace.
With so much love and a whole lot of grace,
Charlet 🌿
