Fact #2: Your Mind is a Battlefield
The reason it feels so hard to be still is because there is a war for your attention. The enemy knows that a woman who is quiet before the Lord is a woman who is dangerous to his kingdom. When you are still, you start to see the traps of the enemy and the open doors that God has placed before you.
If you find your mind racing as soon as you sit down, don't give up! That is just the "static" of the world trying to stay relevant. Use your journal to do a "brain dump." Write down every worry, every task, and every fear. Get it out of your head and onto the paper. Once it’s on the page, tell the Lord, "I am entrusting these to You so I can focus on Your heart."
The North Star of Your Daily Routine
In the ancient world, sailors didn't look at the waves to find their way; they looked at the stars. If you are only looking at your circumstances (the waves), you will always feel tossed around. But when you look at the "North Star" of God's Word in the quiet moments, you find your true heading.
Whether you are navigating a new business, purposeful motherhood, or a season of transition, the Pause is your compass. It is where you receive the "marching orders" that lead to true success.
What to Do When You Can’t Hear Anything
Sometimes we sit in the silence and we feel… nothing. No lightning bolts. No booming voices.
Truth: Just because you can’t "feel" God doesn’t mean He isn’t moving.
Faith isn't a feeling; it's a stance. By simply showing up and honoring the silence, you are sowing seeds of trust. You are telling God, "I am here, and I am available." That availability is exactly what He needs to transform your life from the inside out.
Keep showing up. Keep opening your planner to pray. Keep breathing in the Misty Sage peace of His presence. The breakthrough is usually found just on the other side of the silence.
I am so proud of you for choosing to be intentional. You are not just getting organized; you are getting aligned.
Stay graceful, stay quiet, and stay expectant.
With love and fierce encouragement,
Charlet Billings
