Will it be easy to stay focused in the middle of the back-to-school chaos? No! Is it absolutely necessary for your spiritual survival? YES!
Welcome back to The Grace-Led Life, Sis. I am so glad you’re here. As the air turns crisp and we swap our sunscreens for sweaters, I can feel a shift in the Spirit. Can you? Fall isn’t just about pumpkin lattes and chunky knits; it is a season of harvest and reflection. It is the perfect time to quiet the noise of the world and tune your heart back to the frequency of Heaven.
The enemy wants you distracted. He wants you so busy with carpools, deadlines, and "surface-level" scrolling that you forget who you are in Christ. But we aren't playing that game this year. We are getting deeply rooted.
Today, I’m inviting you into a new spiritual practice that has changed my life: Faith Journaling. This isn't just about pretty handwriting; it’s about creating a sacred record of your walk with the King. Let’s get you started.
Fact #1: A Faith Journal is Not an Ordinary Diary
Many women get stuck before they even start because they think they’re just "writing about their day." Wrong.
Truth vs. Lie
- The Lie: A journal is for venting your frustrations and closing the book.
- The Truth: A faith journal is a spiritual weapon. It is where you record God’s promises, track His faithfulness, and wage war against the lies of the enemy with the Truth of Scripture.
Think of your journal as a "Spiritual Spa": a place of intentional, airy peace where you meet with your Creator. It’s a tool for Faith & Bible Study that turns abstract thoughts into tangible evidence of God’s work in your life.

The Garden Metaphor: Why Fall is the "Anchor" Season
In the spring, we plant. In the summer, we toil. But in the autumn? We look at what has grown. If you feel like you’ve been running on empty, fall is the season to pull back and look at your roots.
Just as the trees let go of their leaves to prepare for a new season of growth, a faith journal helps you identify what you need to release. What "dead weight" are you carrying? What seeds did God plant in your heart in January that are finally starting to sprout?
When you write things down, you create an anchor. When the storms of life come: and they will come: you can flip back through your pages and see that God has never failed you. He won’t start now.
What to Do: The "Spiritual Spa" Kit
You don’t need a mountain of supplies to start your Grace-filled Lifestyle, but having tools that bring you joy makes the practice feel like a gift, not a chore.
- The Vessel: You need a high-quality journal that feels special. I personally love our linen-bound notebooks and planners: they are designed to be beautiful enough to leave on your nightstand but sturdy enough for daily battle.
- The Sword: A pen that flows easily. No scratchy office pens allowed in the Spiritual Spa!
- The Anchors: Faith-based affirmation cards are a game-changer for beginners. If you don't know what to write, pull a card and let the Scripture on it be your starting point.
- The Accents: A few magnetic bookmarks or stickers to mark the pages where God spoke clearly to you.

How to Battle the Blank Page: The "BLESS" Structure
Does a blank white page feel intimidating? I get it. I’ve sat there too, pen in hand, wondering if I have anything "holy" enough to say. Here is a simple, step-by-step roadmap to get you rolling:
- B – Bible Scripture: Write out one verse. Just one. Don't overcomplicate it.
- L – Listen: Be still for two minutes. What is the Holy Spirit whispering to your heart about that verse?
- E – Explore: Note the context. Who was speaking? How does this apply to your vision?
- S – Savor: Write down why this Truth matters to you today. How does it make you feel?
- S – Summarize & Share: Turn your reflection into a short prayer.
Money follows faith, and growth follows discipline. When you steward your time by sitting with Him, He will pour out the wisdom you need for your Plan and Prosper goals.
Spiritual Truth: Harvest Prompts for Your Autumn Journey
To help you get started this week, I’ve put together three specific prompts. Write these at the top of your page and let the Spirit lead you.
"To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven."
: Ecclesiastes 3:1
Spiritual Truth: Your life is not a series of accidents; it is a carefully choreographed masterpiece.
- Prompt 1 (The Harvest): Look back at the last six months. Where have you seen God’s provision even when things felt "dry"?
- Prompt 2 (The Pruning): What is one habit, fear, or "worldly" perspective God is asking you to drop like a falling leaf this season?
- Prompt 3 (The Vision): If you were 100% sure God was backing you, what is the "North Star" goal you would chase this fall?

How to Stay Consistent: Don't Let the Enemy Steal Your Time
The enemy’s favorite weapon is "busy." He will tell you that you don't have ten minutes. He will tell you that you're too tired. Do not listen.
Here is the secret to staying rooted:
- Pick a Trigger: Tie your journaling to something you already do. When the coffee pot starts dripping, the journal opens.
- Keep it Visible: Don't hide your journal in a drawer. Keep it where you see it. It is a visual reminder that you are a woman of Purposeful Motherhood and divine calling.
- Grace over Perfection: If you miss a day, don't quit! That’s a trap. Just pick up the pen the next morning. God’s mercies are new every single day.
You are a Masterpiece in Progress
Sis, starting a faith journal is more than a hobby: it’s an act of stewardship. You are saying to God, "I value Your voice enough to write it down."
As we move into this cozy, reflective season, I want you to feel seen and empowered. You aren't just drifting through life; you are a key part of the Plan. Your story matters, and it deserves to be recorded.
I can’t wait to hear how God meets you in the pages of your journal this fall. Grab your favorite sweater, light a candle, and let’s start rolling together.
Stay Grace-Led,
Charlet Billings
