The Invisible Hand: A Lifetime of Divine Protection

Is it luck? Absolutely not. Is it a coincidence? Not a chance!

Have you ever looked back at your life and felt a sudden chill: not of fear, but of awe: realizing that you shouldn’t be here? That a thousand things could have gone wrong, but somehow, they didn’t?

Sweet sister, that isn't "good vibes" or the universe "aligning." That is the Invisible Hand of the Father. It is the fierce, protective shadow of the Almighty mentioned in Psalm 91, and it has been over you since before you took your first breath.

Today, I want to invite you into a "Spiritual Spa" moment. I want you to exhale the stress of the world, lean back into the Marshmallow Cream (#FDFBF7) comfort of God’s grace, and listen to a story that proves His Stewardship over our lives is relentless. This is the testimony of my mother, Anna: a woman whose life is a living map of Divine Protection.

Truth #1: The Enemy Attacks the Calling Early

The enemy knows your potential before you do. He recognizes the "North Star" of your Calling while you are still in diapers, and he will try to snuff it out. But he forgets one thing: The King has already claimed you.

At just three years old, Anna was playing near a road when a car struck her. In the natural world, a toddler versus a ton of moving steel has a predictable, tragic ending. But in the Spiritual Realm? The Father’s hand was an impenetrable shield. Anna was hit, but she walked away without a single scratch.

Two years later, at age five, it happened again. She was nearly in the path of another vehicle when a neighbor: moved by a sudden, divine impulse: reached out and pulled her to safety.

Spiritual Truth: "No weapon formed against you shall prosper." (Isaiah 54:17). The enemy can throw the "car," but he cannot break the "Covering."

When we look at these events through a surface-level lens, we see "close calls." But when we look through a deeply rooted spiritual perspective, we see a battle for a lineage. If Anna hadn't been protected, I wouldn't be here. This business, this community, and the souls we reach wouldn't exist. Your life is a key part of a Plan that spans generations.

Truth #2: The Waters Shall Not Overtake You

Sometimes, the danger isn't a fast-moving car; sometimes, it’s the quiet, suffocating depths of the water.

Also at age five, Anna found herself at the bottom of a swimming pool. She drowned. Her lungs were full, her heart was still, and the world would say it was over. But God had placed a "General of the Faith" in her life: her Grandma Gene.

Grandma Gene didn't just see a tragedy; she saw a soul to be reclaimed. She pulled Anna from the water and performed CPR until life returned to that little body.

Will the road be easy? No. Will the waters get deep? Yes. But the promise of the Father is that when you pass through the waters, He will be with you (Isaiah 43:2). He uses the people around us: the intercessors, the Grandma Genes: to pull us back from the brink. This is why we must stay connected to our community. We are each other’s lifelines.

Truth #3: The Stewardship of the "Pause"

Fast forward to when Anna was 21 years old. She was pregnant with me (Charlet!), walking along a busy street. Suddenly, she felt the need to stop and tie her boot. It was a mundane, annoying pause.

In that exact second, a car sped through the very spot where she would have been standing had she kept walking.

We often complain about the "delays" in our lives. We get frustrated when the red light lasts too long or when we have to stop and "tie our boots." But sister, Money follows faith, and safety follows obedience. That tiny, prompted pause was the difference between life and death for both of us.

Are you frustrated with a delay in your life right now?
Could it be that the Father is simply asking you to tie your boot while He moves a danger out of your path?

Truth #4: Generational Covering & The Prophetic Dream

Divine protection doesn't stop once you grow up; it follows you into your own motherhood. Years later, while pregnant with my sister Jessica, Anna fell down two full flights of stairs.

The enemy wanted to steal the next generation. He wanted to use gravity to break what God was building. But once again, the Invisible Hand was there. Both Anna and Jessica were perfectly fine. Not a bone broken. Not a heartbeat missed.

This level of protection is often tied to our Spiritual Heritage. I remember my Grandma Billings, a woman of deep, anchoring prayer. Before she passed, I had a prophetic dream. I saw her "North Star" fading from the earth but leaving a trail of light for us to follow. She was a steward of her family's souls, and her prayers created a canopy of Petal Pink (#F4E1E1) grace that we still walk under today.

How to Battle: Tracking the Invisible Hand

If you aren't looking for the Father’s hand, you’ll mistake His miracles for "luck." To live a Grace-Led Life, you must become a historian of your own miracles. You are a masterpiece, and every brushstroke of protection deserves to be recorded.

Here is how you can begin to recognize and steward the protection over your own life:

  1. Start a Faith Journal: Dedicate a section to "Unseen Deliverances." Write down every time you felt a "nudge" to change lanes, wait a minute, or reach out to someone.
  2. Use Bible Journaling Prompts: Reflect on Psalm 91. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal moments in your childhood where He shielded you.
  3. Track Your Heritage: Research the prayers of your ancestors. If you don't have a spiritual heritage, start one. Be the "Grandma Gene" for your future grandchildren.
  4. Practice Presence: When a delay happens, instead of sighing, say: "Thank You, Father, for the pause. I trust Your timing."

Christian Journal Prompts for Divine Protection:

  • Recall a time you were spared from a physical accident. How does that change your view of your Purpose today?
  • What "near misses" in your finances or relationships can you now see were God's redirection?
  • Who is the "intercessor" in your life who pulls you out of the deep water?

The Spiritual Spa Reflection

As you close this article, I want you to take a deep breath. Look at your hands. They are held by the Creator of the stars. You are not a victim of circumstance; you are a beneficiary of Divine Intentionality.

The enemy may be real, but our God is greater. The "Invisible Hand" isn't just a story for Anna: it’s the reality for every woman who calls herself a daughter of the King.

You have been saved for a reason. You have been protected for a Calling. Now, go and steward that life with the fierceness and beauty it deserves.
