Will it always be comfortable? No.
Will it make you the most popular person in the room? Probably not.
Is it the only way to live a life of true authority and peace? Absolutely.
Listen to me, sister. You are a masterpiece, a chosen daughter of the Most High, and a vital key in the Kingdom plan. But let’s have a real, "spiritual big sister" heart-to-heart: Are you trying to walk into rooms where the Presence of God isn't invited? Are you dragging your soul into environments, conversations, or partnerships that require you to "leave Jesus at the door"?
We live in a world that tells us to "blend in" to "win people over." We’re told that our faith is personal, something for Sunday mornings and quiet prayer closets. But if He is the CEO of your life, not just a consultant you call when things go wrong, then He is your non-negotiable Plus One.
If He can't go, you don't go. Period.
The CEO of Your Circumstances
Think about it this way: If you were the representative of a multi-billion dollar Kingdom (which you are!), would you show up to a meeting without the CEO’s approval? Would you sign a contract without the Board's blessing? Of course not!
Yet, we often wander into social circles, business deals, or even late-night scrolling sessions where we know, deep in our spirits, that the Holy Spirit is being grieved. We try to succeed at life while severing our connection to the very Source of our power. It’s time to stop treating God’s Presence like an accessory and start treating it like your oxygen.
Fact #1: Your Distinctiveness is Your Power
In the book of Exodus, Moses was at a crossroads. God told him to go to the Promised Land, a land flowing with milk and honey, but said He wouldn't go with them personally because of the people's rebellion. Now, most people would have taken the land and the blessings and run! But not Moses. He knew a fundamental truth that we often forget: The blessing without the Presence is actually a curse.
"Then Moses said to him, 'If your Presence does not go with us, do not send us up from here. How will anyone know that you are pleased with me and with your people unless you go with us? What else will distinguish me and your people from all the other people on the face of the earth?'"
, Exodus 33:15-16
Spiritual Truth: Your "North Star" isn't a destination or a goal; it is a Person. It is God’s Presence alone that distinguishes you from the rest of the world. Without Him, you’re just another woman trying to get organized. With Him, you are a walking, breathing sanctuary.

Truth vs. Lie: The Sacred-Secular Divide
The Lie: "I can have a 'God part' of my life and a 'regular part' of my life. My social life and my business don't always need to be 'spiritual.'"
The Truth: You are the temple of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19). You don’t "visit" God; He lives in you. There is no such thing as a "secular" moment for a daughter of the King. Every coffee date, every board meeting, and every grocery store run is a spiritual assignment. If you feel like you have to dim your light to fit into a space, that space is too small for the vision God has given you.
We must cultivate a deeply rooted spiritual perspective. When you use your Christian planner to map out your week, are you asking Him, "Lord, where do You want to go?" Or are you just asking Him to bless the places you've already decided to visit?
Excuse #1: "I'm Just Being Social"
I hear you. "Charlet, I don't want to be 'that person' who is judgmental or weird."
Listen, love, there is a massive difference between being judgmental and being discerning. Discernment is the spiritual warfare tool that allows you to see the "enemy's" traps before you step in them. If a conversation turns into gossip, if an environment promotes values that mock your Father, or if a partnership requires you to compromise your integrity, you aren't "being social" by staying. You are being stewarded by the world rather than stewarding your soul.
Money follows faith. Success follows obedience. You don't have to worry about missing out on opportunities because you chose to honor God’s Presence. He owns the cattle on a thousand hills! If He closes a door because He wasn't welcome there, trust that He is opening a massive gate where He can be the Guest of Honor.

How to Battle: Protecting the Presence
How do we actually live this out in the middle of a busy, noisy world? We have to be intentional. We have to treat our connection to God like the VIP appointment it is.
- Consult the CEO Daily: Before you check your emails, check in with the Throne Room. Use your prayer journal to ask: "Lord, what is Your heart for today? Is there anywhere I'm planning to go that You aren't going?"
- Audit Your Environments: Look at your calendar in your bible study planner. For each event, ask: "Can I take God here?" If the answer is "no" or "not comfortably," it’s time to re-evaluate.
- Establish Your Boundaries: Boundaries aren't walls to keep people out; they are fences to keep the "garden" of your heart protected. It is okay to say, "I'm not comfortable with that environment," or "I'm heading home early tonight."
- Track Your Peace: The Holy Spirit often communicates through peace. If you enter a room and your peace evaporates, that is a signal! Don't ignore the "check" in your spirit.
The Power of the "No"
Your "No" to the world is a resounding "Yes" to God. Every time you refuse to enter a space where He isn't welcome, you are making room for a breakthrough. You are telling the universe that your loyalty is not for sale.
I remember a time in my own life when I was chasing "success" by the world's standards. I was attending the "right" parties and networking with the "right" people, but I felt like a desert inside. My faith journal was empty because I had nothing to say to God: I was too busy ignoring Him in my daily life. It wasn't until I made the radical decision to follow the "If You don't go, I'm not going" rule that my business and my peace actually began to prosper.
Suddenly, I had the right connections. I had the right ideas. I had the energy to be the mother and leader God called me to be. Why? Because I was finally walking in step with the CEO.

You Are Never Alone
The beauty of this walk is that when you choose Him, you are never truly alone. You are part of a community of women who are choosing the Grace-Led Life. We are a sisterhood of "temple-carriers" who are changing the atmosphere of our homes, our offices, and our cities.
You are a winner. You are a key part of the plan. And you have the ultimate connection to the divine, wise, and powerful God. Don't trade that for a seat at a table where He isn't invited.
Go today and meet with your CEO. Ask Him how He would act, what He would say, and where He would go. And when He speaks, follow Him with everything you’ve got.
Stay intentional, stay peaceful, and keep your eyes on the North Star.
With so much love and grace,
Charlet Billings
