Will it always be clear? No.
Will it always be comfortable? Absolutely not.
But is it always worth it? Yes.
Sweet sister, we’ve all been there. You’re standing at a crossroads, your faith journal open and tear-stained, asking the Father for a neon sign. You want to move. You want to fulfill that Vision He’s placed in your heart. But you’re terrified of rolling in the wrong direction.
In our last conversation, we talked about the hard truth: God will steer, but you must roll. He is the Captain, but He won't force the wheels to turn if you’ve pulled the emergency brake out of fear. But how do you know if the movement you’re feeling is His hand on the wheel or just the wind of your own desires?
The enemy loves to keep us paralyzed in "analysis paralysis." He wants you to stay stagnant, second-guessing the Calling on your life until the season passes you by. We aren’t going to let that happen today.
Here are the 3 unmistakable signs that the Holy Spirit is steering your ship, and the 3 ways you need to put your foot on the gas and roll.
Sign #1: The Door You’ve Been Pushing Is Locked
We often view a closed door as a rejection, or worse, an attack from the enemy. But what if that locked door is actually the greatest mercy of the Father? When He is steering, He will often shut down options that would have shipwrecked your soul or distracted you from your true Stewardship.
"I know your deeds. See, I have placed before you an open door that no one can shut." , Revelation 3:8
Spiritual Truth: A closed door is not a "No" to your purpose; it is a "Not this way" to protect your path.
If you’ve been hustling, praying, and pushing against a specific opportunity and it remains deadlocked, stop trying to pick the lock. If He is steering, He is turning the wheel toward a different street, one where the door is already unbolted.
Journal Prompt for your Prayer Journal:
Lord, what door am I trying to force open that You have clearly shut? Help me release my grip on this "Good" thing so I can receive Your "God" thing.

Sign #2: A Persistent, "Un-Worldly" Peace
The world tells us that peace comes when everything is settled, the bank account is full, and the plan is 100% visible. That’s not the peace of the Kingdom.
When God is steering, you will often feel a steady, quiet "knowing" in your spirit that defies your circumstances. You might be in the middle of a storm, yet deep down, there is an anchor. It’s a peace that says, "Go this way," even when it makes no sense to your logical mind.
Fact #1: Your intuition can fail you, but the Holy Spirit’s peace is a North Star.
If you feel a persistent pull toward a specific direction, a new business, a difficult conversation, or a leap of faith, and that pull is accompanied by a calm that doesn't fluctuate with the news or your feelings, He is steering.
Journal Prompt:
Identify one area where you feel a quiet, steady peace despite the chaos. What is the Holy Spirit whispering to you in that stillness?
Sign #3: Providential Confirmations (The "God-Incidences")
Have you ever heard a sermon on Sunday, read a specific verse on Monday, and then had a friend mention the exact same topic on Tuesday? That isn’t a coincidence, masterpiece. That is a Providential Confirmation.
God often uses the "mouth of two or three witnesses" to confirm His steering. He might use a card from our Faith-Based Affirmation Deck to echo a promise He gave you in secret. When the "Three Lights", Scripture, your internal desire, and external means, all begin to line up, the steering is clear.
Now, How Do You Roll?
Knowing He is steering is only half the battle. Now comes the part where you have to do the work. The enemy wins when we have the map but refuse to walk the trail.
Here is how you "roll" with the King.
Way #1: Take the Blind Step
You don’t need the 10-year plan. You don’t even need the 1-year plan. You just need the Next Step. rolling means being willing to take a step even when you can’t see the whole staircase.
How to Battle:
Open your Christian Planner and look at this week. What is the ONE thing you know God has asked you to do? Is it making a phone call? Is it buying a domain name? Is it apologizing to someone? Do that thing today. Stop waiting for the full map to appear before you put the car in drive.
Way #2: Commit to Daily Obedience
Rolling isn’t a one-time event; it’s a daily rhythm of Stewardship. If you want God to steer the big things, you have to let Him steer the small things, like your morning routine, your budget, and how you speak to your children.

How to Battle:
Use a Bible Study Tool or a simple notebook to track your daily "Yes." At the end of the day, ask yourself: Did I roll in the direction He steered me today? Even if you only moved an inch, an inch of obedience is better than a mile of rebellion.
Way #3: Stop Waiting for "Perfect"
Perfectionism is a tool of the enemy designed to keep you in the garage. "I'll start when I have more money," or "I'll roll when I'm more spiritual."
Truth vs. Lie:
- Lie: You have to be perfect to be used by God.
- Truth: God uses the messy, the willing, and the "rolling" to display His glory.
How to Battle:
Write down your biggest fear about moving forward. Now, look at that fear through the lens of God's power. Is your fear bigger than His ability to steer? No! Use your Affirmation Cards to speak life over those fears. Roll messy if you have to, but roll.
A Final Word for My Sister at the Crossroads
I see you. I see the way your heart is pounding because the calling feels so big and you feel so small. But remember this: You are a key part of the plan. You are His masterpiece.
He is not a cruel Captain who will steer you into a wall. He is a loving Father who is holding the wheel with hands that were pierced for you. You can trust the steering. Now, it’s time to trust the rolling.
Put your hand on the wheel, take a deep breath, and let's go. Your God-given purpose is waiting on the other side of your "Yes."

Stay grounded in Grace,
Charlet Billings
